Over eight years ago, New Era Church First Lady Hope Moore, founded Operation More Hope (OMH) as an opportunity for the community to come together for a common goal to help students of color succeed.
OMH is an after-school enrichment opportunity that supports students in reducing reading and math deficiencies through arts enrichment, grade-level tutoring, home-cooked meals, etiquette and social skills training, Black history education, career day, STEM, field trips to expand cultural awareness, and hosting diverse guest speakers. Hope works relentlessly to acquire funds to continue and expand the program while building relationships with the community, stakeholders, and students’ families.
