One in a Million Award recipient: Indiana State Police Department

Where they are multiplying good: Indianapolis, Indiana

How they are multiplying good: They are One in a Million. The Mission of the Indiana State Police is to protect life and property within the State of Indiana from all threats, foreign and domestic. As Indiana fights to defeat the coronavirus, just over 1,260 sworn officers and 450 civilian workers are working hard to protect Hoosiers. That is more than 1,700 amazing people showing up for work every day to honor their oath to protect lives in extraordinary ways. Increased alcohol use, speeding on less crowded interstates, rise of domestic violence cases and black-market operations on the rise, this crisis makes a difficult job even tougher.

Let’s honor each officer and civilian working for the Indiana State Police with a One in a Million Award. This includes sworn officers, mechanics and installers for the police cars, forensic workers, criminal analysts, logistic employees, executive staff, facility engineers and maintenance, dispatchers, records and firearms licensing, administrative professionals at every level, motor carrier inspectors and volunteer chaplains. Thank you for protecting Hoosiers!
