How she’s multiplying good: She is One in a Million. Dr. San Miguel, or Dr. Sandy leads the Science Education Partnership for Kids and Veterinarians, offered through Purdue University, NIH, and SEPA (Science Education Partnership Award). Dr. Sandy provides educational videos online via Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine's Facebook, educating students and the public about animal health. Her videos include supplemental activities to engage children, which is of utmost importance during this pandemic. Dr. Sandy imparts knowledge to children and reminds them at the end of each video to use their powers for good. Not only are Sandy's videos educational, they empower children to ask questions and help them understand they too can pursue careers such as veterinary medicine.
